We're a 501(c)3 non-profit working towards the reintroduction of sea otters to help create a more robust & resilient marine ecosystem in Oregon.
⭐️Our beloved sea stars are more than just #tidepool treasures -they’re key players in the health of our coastal ecosystems. With threats like Sea Star Wasting Syndrome still impacting populations, volunteers play a critical role in keeping watch. oregonlive.com/environment/20…

🍼Baby #seaotters are most commonly called pups, though they can also be referred to as kits. These fluffy pups come into the world wrapped in a thick, buoyant coat that keeps them bobbing on the surface like fuzzy little corks while mom dives for food. 📸: Mimi Ditchie

Ollie the sea otter snuggles with kelp as he naps near the shoreline. Ollie is now quite old—we estimate between 12 and 15 years old. That’s the top end of a male sea otter lifespan, so every encounter with him these days is a bonus! Shorelines Photography #Wild4Whales
You might want to think twice before inviting a #seaotter to your weekend BBQ 🌭 - they’d probably devour everything in sight! This sea otter photographed by @lauralefurgeysmi, is seen snacking on sea urchins💥 - one of the 100+ species #seaotters prey upon.
