We are not just big on it, it is tied to us. Ori nmen edeke eyinle. You cannot point to an Ika person that his/her greatgrandparents weren’t Olokun adherent and sort out ezenugbegbe and ozenighbegbe. It is why Igbo can never work in our land. Except if they wipe our memory.
AKPA FESTIVAL, OLIGIE IGBAKE. It is believed that the Akpa festival, which is celebrated biennially in Oligie, Igbake dates back to 1066AD. It is an age grade festival, a show of strength, youthfulness, and vigor of the warriors of Oligie in Igbake
