Buzz Williams lands a composite 5-star his first month on the job. Not bad. If his pledge holds, it’ll be the first time Maryland rosters a McDonald’s All American in consecutive seasons since Melo Trimble and Diamond Stone in 2014 and 2015.
BREAKING: Top-20 recruit Darius Adams, a former UConn signee, has committed to Maryland, he tells @On3Recruits. The 6-5 Shooting Guard is a McDonalds All-American. Also considered Georgetown, Michigan State, and Tennessee. Strong pickup for Buzz Williams.…
Former Terps big man Braden Pierce is transferring to Villanova. He’s the third portal addition for Kevin Willard and the second Maryland transfer alongside Malachi Palmer.
Let’s have some fun Nova nation ✌🏻
Why did two Texas A&M transfers follow Buzz Williams to Maryland despite never suiting up for him? To "finish what they started." “Not saying everything has been roses, but they respect the fact that he builds a culture that is true." dbknews.com/2025/04/14/mar…
Texas A&M transfer Andre Mills (@Andre2timez1) said Buzz Williams is a "powerful" coach who creates a culture that's "bigger than basketball." "It's about a family, it's about a foundation, it's about being together. You'll never be able to get that experience back again."
Watts is the fourth backcourt player to commit to Maryland out of the portal, joining Myles Rice (former teammate at WSU), David Coit and Andre Mills. He’s a career 35% 3-point shooter. 64% of his shots have come from beyond the arc.
NEWS: Washington State transfer guard Isaiah Watts has committed to Maryland, CAA Basketball's NIL division tells @On3sports. The 6-3 sophomore averaged 11.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. on3.com/college/maryla…
Texas A&M transfer George Turkson Jr. announced his commitment to Maryland. The 6’7 forward will be a redshirt freshman with four years of eligibility. His pledge comes a day after Andre Mills’, another Aggies freshman who hails from the Boston area. The two were AAU teammates.
Sources: Maryland is finalizing an agreement to participate in the 2025 Players Era Festival in Las Vegas.
Texas A&M transfer Andre Mills announced his commitment to Maryland. The 6’4 guard redshirted his freshman campaign. He’s the third Aggie to follow Buzz Williams to College Park and fifth commit.
And then there were none. Chance Stephens is in the transfer portal, meaning nobody from Maryland’s roster is expected to return next season. Updated portal tracker: dbknews.com/2025/03/31/mar…

Freshman Malachi Palmer, Jeffrey’s former HS teammate who entered the portal after the season, just announced he’s transferring to Villanova as well.
Four-star guard Christian Jeffrey is following Kevin Willard to Villanova, per @TiptonEdits. He’s the first player to join the former Terps coach at his new school. Jeffrey had a final two of Maryland and Villanova after de-committing last Monday.
Rice averaged 10 points and 3 assists at Indiana after being one of the most highly-touted guards in the portal last year. He earned Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and first team honors at Washington State in 2023-24, a season after medically redshirting due to Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
