Another great @Root2Res annual meeting hosted by @ICARDA in beautiful Rabat, Morocco. Lots of discussions on data analysis methods, skill sharing & implementing new technology for phenotyping roots & #rhizosphere soils, also some lovely cats.

#Shovelomics on our @Root2Res trials is complete ✅ Trials seek to develop cultivars w/ abiotic stress tolerance. Thanks to the hard work from the Johnstown and Oak Park teams. Microbe community composition & functioning, enzyme activity, genomics & harvest analysis next!

The Root2Res Faba bean shovelomics harvest is complete! 🫘 Great to see so many out lending a hand — and we even stayed dry. Now onto the small matter of processing all those samples!!

2025 @Root2Res Faba shovelomics with the @PlantEcoHutton team has kicked off, we'll be taking some #rhizosphere soil and #roots back to our lab @Soilmicrobio for nutrient cycling and microbial community analysis 🫘 🧬 always great to work with this crew.
