Robert Eggers about the decision to give Count Orlok facial hair in Nosferatu: “It's a hard pill for some people to swallow. But I also don't care, because there's just no fucking way that this guy wouldn't have a moustache.”

Robert Eggers on the dialogue in his upcoming film Werwulf: “I don’t know who leaked what, but it’s been said — and taken as official — that the movie is in Old English. But obviously, because of the 13th-century setting, it’s Middle English. I just want to be clear on that.”

I don’t think I have to remind anyone how stunning the cinematography, production design, costumes, and makeup in Nosferatu were. Awards don’t define greatness—the team created something truly beautiful, and that’s what will stand the test of time.
