🆕 The Moveable Transactions (Scotland) Act 2023 has modernised the law in Scotland in relation to transferring claims and taking security over moveable property. The Register of Assignations and the Register of Statutory Pledges are now live. ros.gov.uk/our-registers/…
The Moveable Transactions (Scotland) Act 2023 comes into force on 1 April 2025. It takes forward our Report on Moveable Transactions (Scot Law Com No 249). We hope the Act will open up more cost effective loan finance options that will benefit businesses and the wider economy.
