We kicked off the final day of the 2025 #BetterTogetherInitiative meeting with a workshop on improving our scientific writing! Representatives from the #SoybeanCheckoff and collaborative outreach groups gathered this week to enhance how we deliver information to stakeholders.
Iron Deficiency Chlorosis (IDC) affects soybeans grown in high pH soils and tolerant varieties is the best way to overcome this situation. Information on tolerant varieties here: aaes.auburn.edu/variety-tests/ @ACESedu @AuburnAg

Soybean variety showing sensitivity to herbicide injury (S-metolachor + fomesafen mix followed by acetochlor) on young leaves. Interestingly, other varieties in a soybean variety trial within the same field doesn’t show the symptoms. @ACESedu @AuburnCSES

Southern corn rust was found in 2 counties in SW Alabama. Orange to light brown tightly clustered oval pustules appear on the upper leaf surface. Spores within the pustules are orange as they rupture through the leaf surface. Rust can reduce yields #Rust #Corn @CropNetwork
