ES-DE Frontend
@ES_DE_Frontend
Gaming frontend for Linux, macOS, Windows and Android
Game importer function is almost done and now includes the option to remove previously added apps if you have deleted them or no longer wish to view them. A nice little feature for helping keep your gamelist tidy and bring us one step closer to a finished update.

Game of the Weekend: Following the success of Goldeneye both as movie and game the 007 license was hot stuff from mid 90s and many different games appeared trying take a bite of the pie but whereas most were shooters this was a bit different. 007 Racing (2000) [PS1]

Did you know? The first video game to officially feature Hulk Hogan was 1987s Micro League Wrestling which was a "wrestling simulation" game, where you made selection of moves and watched digitised scenes showing the action #HulkHogan #WWE

Theme Showcase: Adroit by Rick youtube.com/watch?v=ojykUN…
Themes update: Several themes are starting to upload support for 5:3 vertical screens and i can safely say that they are looking amazing.

Pro Tip for 3.3.0: You can exclude apps and emulators from showing in "All Games" list by simply toggling "Exclude from Game Counter" in the metadata editor. They will still show up in home systems such as "emulators" or "android Apps" making the "All Games" section all games

Did you know? The Commodore 64 was originally going to be presented to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) as the VIC-40 since it was the successor to the VIC-20. Its name was changed to the Commodore 64 just before it was presented at the show for the first time.

Gaming in movies: In Back to the Future 2 the arcade shown is Wild Gunman which is based on the NES version of the game but it was a real arcade released in 1976. Bonus trivia: The arcade was brought to the US by Sega distributing for Nintendo!

We're happy to announce that ES-DE 3.3.0 has just been released! The main feature in this release is our new game importer tool, see our YouTube video that explain this and other important improvements in 3.3.0 youtube.com/watch?v=6J3t1Q…

Random Fact: There exists a pc version of Halo 2 that includes a nudidty warning on the esrb sticker because it could occasionaly throw an error ".ass" and one of the developers added a picture of thier own rear as a joke and forgot to remove it. This error was fixed later.

Did you know? The original version of Pong had no source code. The entire game is implimented in hardware. The size of the paddles could be changed by adjusting the resistance output by a potentiometer.
The Simsons really have done it all from fighting aliens to mocking gta and WWE but which game is the best? I vote space aliens for the nostalgia

Forgotten classics: Barts Nightmare (1992) [SNES,Genesis/megadrive] This simpsons game came out at the perfect time when the show was at its best and everyone was doing the Bartman. Simple, fun and frustrating is how I remembered it and on a replay i stand by that description.

With the new upcoming update we will be able to support 3:5 and 5:3 screen orientation for devices such as the Magic X. This does need to be implimented by the theme developer first.

Did you know: You can create your own custom loading screen for ES-DE? Simply place your SVG image into your user ES-DE folder here: \resources\graphics\splash.svg (you may have to create these folders)

The next update is going to make life easier for our desktop users. We have the importer function to add games directly into systems such as steam, emulators and windows.
