Go for 2: Jaguars plan for Travis Hunter to play both ways in Friday night’s scrimmage - via @ESPN App espn.com/nfl/story/_/id…
This is exactly the opposite of what the Jaguars have said. They started him on offense because it’s more difficult/intricate to learn as a rookie.
It's obvious that in Pro the Defense is harder to learn. He had what 2 maybe 3 different Defenses to learn and suddenly he has 3 different cover 3s plus the rest of it. Offense he only needs to learn a few routes which is easier.
Jaguars were in upper pads for the first time on Monday (linemen were in full pads). Everyone will be in full pads on Tuesday.
Jaguars CB Montaric Brown (lower leg) is going to be out for the rest of training camp, head coach Liam Coen said. TE Johnny Mundt (upper body), RB Bhayshul Tuten (hamstring), RG Patrick Mekari (back), WR Louis Rees-Zammit (back) remained out out practice and are day to day.
Jaguars WR/CB Travis Hunter back in a teal jersey today (offense). Still awaiting the first practice where he works on both offense and defense.
Total Travis Hunter snaps through four Jaguars camp practices: 83 snaps (36 on offense, 47 on defense) 7-on-7: 18 snaps (11 offense, 7 defense) 11-on-11: 65 snaps (25 offense, 40 defense)
The Jaguars honored the 14U flag football national champs prior to Sunday’s practice. Tournament MVP Brysen Wright, who had the one-handed highlight TD catch, is on the far left. Among the people who reached out to him was Odell Beckham Jr.

Second practice in a row on defense for Travis Hunter.

Wesley is thankfully on his way to a full recovery after battling through chemotherapy. Hines-Allen’s foundation Four One For All will have a season-long campaign to give back to cancer-focused non-profits this season.
The dreaded six-letter word that no parent ever wants to hear: Cancer. Seven months ago, our world stopped when our son, Wesley, was diagnosed with leukemia. As parents, we've held each other through tears we didn't know we had, watching our little boy fight the biggest battle…
Obligatory Travis Hunter photo. Another mainly offense day, it appears.
