Our latest article, which is also the latest from the BIODESERT global survey, has just been published in @Nature 👇#Drylands act as a global reservoir of plant phenotypic diversity and challenge the pervasive view that harsh environmental conditions reduce plant trait diversity
As part of the @biodesert_erc survey we measured 20 chemical & morphological traits on 20,961 individual plants in 326 plots from 6 continents. The analyses of these data, published in @Nature rdcu.be/dQgFK reveal a unexpected high functional diversity of #dryland flora
