Creating real opportunities for youth is essential for Europe’s future. At today’s #EUEnlargement Forum, we made it clear: young people from candidate countries must be at the heart of the enlargement process. #EESCPlenary

Together with Ministers @maidagorcevic & @OMurtezani, I addressed the press during our #EUEnlargement Forum. With new EU funding secured until 2027, our ECM initiative is entering a new phase, expanding inclusion & strengthening civil society engagement from candidate countries.

At our #EUEnlargement press point, I made it clear: enlargement is not just a geopolitical strategy, it’s a democratic promise. Civil society and young people from candidate countries must not only be heard, but empowered to help shape Europe’s future. #EESCPlenary

Civil and social dialogue must be more than a formality, they must be a condition for EU accession. At the #EUEnlargement Forum, we called for legal frameworks in candidate countries that empower #CSOs and social partners to shape, monitor and deliver reforms. #EESCPlenary
