Many victims stay silent due to trauma and fear of retaliation. We must create safe reporting channels and remove barriers so survivors can seek help without fear. We also need laws that protect survivors and justice systems that support and believe them. #EndHumanTrafficking

On 28–29 May, @UNODC & @NCTCMaldives continued efforts to localise Maldives’ National Action Plan on P/CVE with a 2nd workshop in Fuvahmulah. The event strengthened the capacities of 17 local actors to advance grassroots strategies to prevent #ViolentExtremism. 🙏🇯🇵

On 25–26 May, @UNODC & @NCTCMaldives held a workshop in Thulusdhoo to empower local stakeholders in operationalising 🇲🇻 National Action Plan on P/CVE at the island level. 16 community leaders & CSOs worked together to advance community-based prevention of violent extremism. 🙏🇯🇵
