In 1568 zijn joden van Europa gevlucht naar India. Ze hebben zich gevestigd in Kochi en hebben een eigen joodse buurt en meerdere synagoges. Tot op de dag van vandaag is een kleine joodse gemeenschap woonachtig in Kochi. Heel bijzonder om te zien.
