Releasing plenty of words wrapping up some NBA Summer League evaluations next week, then I’m taking a much needed week long vacation. Putting everything down. Once I’m back and refreshed, we hit the ground running for another year!

I continue to love what the Suns have done since the season ended and the swings the organization is taking. Goodwin and Butler in a competition for a roster spot is some nice work.

Probably isn’t a better compliment a coach could give a kid to make me buy into him more as a prospect

Great work. Entirely honest, nothing here really “surprises” me based off expectations and/or what I saw in person. Kon, Tre, CMB most impressive T10 picks on tape/in person outside of what Flagg and Harper did in their showdown. Nique and Jase were the two other 1st rounders…

This is the worst that Kon Knueppel and Nique Clifford are going to be. Both have had great Summer League runs, plenty to take away from tonight. Both struggled from the field, but they’ll improve. Bright futures for those guys!

Friendly reminder to those who have enjoyed watching NBA Summer League: a lot of these guys are going to pop up in the G League next season. Do yourself a favor and watch some games in the G! Growing product, there’s some good hoops to be found!

I've been very impressed with Jaylen Sims here in Summer League. Has spent the last three seasons in the G League, and has steadily improved each season as an outside shooter and defender. Wasn't on my radar coming in, but has my attention and could be playing himself onto a deal

You know what kind of players I like? The dudes who just want to compete. Kon Knueppel and Nique Clifford are out there wanting to win, still playing up through the championship game at Summer League. Give me those guys!

It's a tough business. Goodwin was good for the Lakers, but it's difficult to not sign someone like Marcus Smart if given the opportunity. It won't take long for Goodwin to find a home.

I know who the Sacramento Kings have in the starting lineup. But you have to seriously consider starting Nique Clifford next season.
