A very important report on the status of Black women and maternal health.
Today we’re proud to share the UK’s largest ever report into Black women’s maternity experiences. Over 1,100 Black women responded to our survey, and what they told us is deeply concerning. This report tells a story of feeling ignored, dismissed, and mistreated. It’s time to…
This is how Dr. King was actually viewed. He was never loved and embraced by the majority of White America. He was seen as a troublemaking “Uppity N—“ who deserved whatever violence came his way.
We have got to be better at understanding beyond representation and identity. Black people deserve a higher quality of difference in ideas and honesty in political movements.

"To interpret Black male victimization as proof of patriarchy is like blaming someone for starting a fire because they got burned–assuming their suffering is evidence of their destructive potential." It's really that simple. If that's hard for anyone to get, tant pis ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I call this case one of honour-based abuse, perpetrated by a south Asian mother who did not like the fact that her daughter had a (consensual) sexual relationship with a young black man. It is an example of a male victim & female perpetrator using foreign law to her advantage.
Brit teen Marcus Fakana, 18, who was jailed in Dubai for having consensual sex with a then-17-yo girl during a holiday romance has been released after being granted a pardon, a campaign group says. He arrived safely home in the UK on Thursday, they added.

Again incorrect Gerda Lerner who wrote the origins of patriarchy in fact disagrees with this view. Claiming that all women were not victimized by patriarchy & benefit from it. Lerner argued women are half or more than half of colonizing or imperial populations.
