I enjoyed visiting the National Museums Scotland (@NtlMuseumsScot) with my son today. I particularly enjoyed the new exhibition on primates.

We are now halfway through the Academy of Divinity and Science's book club. In tonight’s session, we will explore the concept of animality in the Aristotelian-Thomist tradition, as presented by Edward Feser in Immortal Souls.

Apparently, these are the two best books on the beatific vision in the Christian tradition. I just bought my copies and am looking forward to reading them.

Seen through death, all the noise eventually fades into silence. May we meet God with nothing but tranquillity.

This is an interview question on AI and Islam that I was asked to complete for Thelicham Monthly. Since the publication will be in Malayalam, which I don't have any fluency in, I wrote my responses in English. I am sharing it here for wider benefit. academia.edu/143052762/Inte…

This is the book I’m reading today for an article.

Man, to hold a piece of history feels incredible. I have finally obtained an original print of Leif Stenberg's monumental 1996 work, The Islamization of Science.

In addition to welcoming new PhD students in Islam and Science, I’m working on finalising our new MSc course on Islam and Science, starting this coming term for both online and in-person programmes. It’s a privilege to lay the foundations for the budding field. Exciting times!

This is an excellent resource for understanding Christian theology. Part 1 covers key theological themes, and Part 2 surveys five significant historical periods: the Patristic era, the Middle Ages, the Reformation, Modernity, and the Contemporary era—my central go-to resource.

If you have a strong postdoctoral proposal related to Theology or Science and Religion, and you are interested in the School of Divinity potentially hosting you, please check out the link and reach out to the relevant faculty. edin.ac/3WmH2Hm

Really happy to call the School of Divinity (@uoedivinity) my intellectual home.

This is a major lawsuit that has the potential to disrupt the exploitation of academics by publishers. Check it out. youtu.be/3Si-UHkAT_A?si…
I have been totally shocked to find that my book (Islam and Evolution) has been translated into Albanian by Logos-A! This is the sixth translation to date. Alhumdulillah!

One of the last pieces to fill in the collection: a super rare, olden goldie translation of the Ibānah printed in the 1940s. Thanks to Arches Bookhouse for selling me this, and Dru Johnson for bringing it over to Edinburgh!

Interesting article on Science and Islam in Modernity by Daniel A. Stolz. ethos.lps.library.cmu.edu/article/id/500…
New purchases for one of my courses.
