I always found Weierstrass suss and only found sanity in Robinson. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nonstanda…
Ah, those moments when engineering mashes up what is available into what is useful.
Is this a stupid or really smart solution to keep the SD card inserted when you have a cheap socket? I lean heavily towards it's kinda smart, but it would probably be better to use a good socket with a proper ejection mechanism. ;-) From a reddit thread reddit.com/r/ElectroBOOM/…
Interesting architecture that incorporates FPGAesque aspects like partial fabric reconfiguration.
Almost every CPU you use today runs the same way - so it has to be the best, right? Well Efficient Computer says there's another way - and it's 100x more efficient than Arm. They've got silicon back and have started firing up the benchmark machine. youtu.be/xuUM84dvxcY
I am sadly late for this quadratic party.
Happy Pythagoras day 24/7/25. (works in the US too). The next will be 24/10/26 and that's it for this century.
Sounds like someone is ready to invest in future science facilities. Because laws of physics cannot but be borne out of empirical exploration. It would be breaking the law to not perform direct measurements of the universe.
"If A.I. can not figure out new physics, its clearly not equal to humans. Physics is the law, everything else is a recommendation. Anyone can break laws created by man, but I am yet to see anyone break the laws of physics."
Experience with @IECharge: 😀 Plug and charge. It works and it's seamless. 🙂 Cost. It's 0.25 €/kWh. 😐 Locations not very convenient. 🙁 Power limited to 150 kW on the 360 kW post. Five sessions. ☹️ Locations lack *any* kind of amenity: no trash bins, no toilets, nothing.
Uncertainty matters. As do potentially unaccounted systematic effects. 🎩@martinmbauer
First born children have higher IQ than their siblings.
Not to be confused with dimensionality reduction and yet, dimensionality is reduced. Reminds me of the role of physics and how bottom-up and top-down EFTs differ.

Can reproduce @Google @googlechrome. What’s funny is that just before hitting “Go” it actually makes sense…
Remember when Google was useful for unit conversion?
When I co-organized the first Hard Probes conference 20 years ago, little did I imagine the bounty of physics these unlocked. indico.cern.ch/event/419871/
