One of the best #lornecancer conferences in recent years. Loved the talks, a focus (but certainly not exclusive) on Brain Cancer and Paediatric disease. Heavy hitters came to our side of the world to share their data and expertise. Wonderful.

The @BrainCancerCtr, founded by Carrie Bickmore’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer Foundation, will provide $100,000 a year to Menzies and the Royal Hobart Hospital for three years to fund research into the genetic links behind brain cancer.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The outcomes for paediatric brain cancer, and DIPG specifically, remain devastating. These statistics, helpfully shared by the DIPG DMG Collaborative show the incidence of cancer, and brain cancer, in children in Australia.
