So I watch next to no podcasts.... and I just watched 3 DO podcasts in one day!! This was the third.
This was really great. I had just read a couple essays by NS Lyons (thanks to Ashley's posts) and you three brought up most of the things that were swirling in my head. I liked the discussion of the role of church and religion and the tricky balance of it all.
I felt DO coded right on culture and populist/crunchy/lefty on economics before we got to know each other (like, I thought you were a MAHA regenerative agriculture devotee).

Most people are non-ideological. Simply getting beyond an ideological spectrum that functions principally at this point to run cover for abject neglect is over half the battle. That isn’t centrist but more like the opposite.
