The rail200 βinspirationβ train formed of Class 66710 & 66719 top and tailing 4 coaches racing through Gillingham, making up lost time, running 12 minutes behind schedule. The train will be welcoming the public aboard at Margate this weekend. (19/7/2025) @railway200

#OTD On this day 165 years ago, a railway opened between Sittingbourne on the Mainland & Sheerness (Dockyard) on the Isle of Sheppy, today we @KentCRP1 celebrated this & Queenbrough Stations Birthday today, with the support of @Se_Railway .




Tomorrow will celebrate Queenbrough Stationβs birthday & 165 years of the railway between Sittingbourne on the mainland and Sheerness the Isle of Sheepy. We, Kent CRP, with the support of @Se_Railway will be holding a big celebration on Queenbrough Green tomorrow from 10-4. π

For the first time in my life, I visited the Isle of Wight today. A very long day out, but enjoyable. The Island Line & Isle of Wight is fantastic, I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope to return one day soon. Some pictures of 484001 & 484005 on the Island Line are seen below! π




Off on a rail adventure today, to the Isle of Wight! ππ Quite an early start, a stop off at Peckham Rye and South Croydon to see some freight locomotives, then off to the Isle of Wight later, somewhere Iβve never been before.
