Richmond has gotten consistently better throughout this season, with different players stepping up in to consequential roles. They are a legitimate threat to win the National Championship. At the same time, their only access to the Tournament may be the A10 AQ…a different year

Here’s what you can look forward to…a 73 year old, running (very generous description of thus) on a cinder track on a sultry summer morning, listening to new music by Peter Gabriel

At the PLL game in Chicago this weekend…Adam Ghitelman, goalie on our 2011 Championship team and still playing for the Boston Cannons with Matt Kelly, a starting frosh defenseman on our undefeated 2006 National Championship team and now the head coach at Mt Carmel High School.

Mick Jagger just turned 81 and is still doing concerts…can we get to a 80+ Division at Lake Placid?

From the USA Lacrosse Gala this past week…from the left, attackman Steph Russo, Brown ‘73, FO middie Jeff Wagner ‘73, defense ‘74, and middie Dave White ‘74….all First Team All-Ivy for the 1973 Brown University undefeated Ivy Championship team

Some pictures from last night’s USA Lacrosse Gala….with all the UVA guys, the Brown guys, with Coach Van and John Walker and with Krissy, Molly, Joe and Pam…it was a wonderful evening!

Walking around Manhattan with Krissy this morning, the view from Pier 76…this City is still spectacular

Maggie and Emma’s housemates and staff from their home in Innisfree Village…everyone here at the house for the 40th birthday party extravaganza!

Maggie and Emma were born 40 years today…May 28th, 1985. We had hosted the NCAA Finals at Brown only 3 days prior. Krissy was in the stands when the game started but we moved her to the sideline as the crowd grew. It has been busy ever since!

Carc has been raving about Richmond’s defense and their efficiency has long been a trademark of this program. Their defensive coordinator is Paul Richards who has been with Chemotti these past 11 years.

Lars and I took down a couple of trees on our property late last week. I have been splitting it since. Today there is a crew here taking two big oaks near the house. Can you see the “climber” up in the tree? Just fascinating to watch craftsmen do their job well.

A pic from this past weekend’s halftime presentation in honor of the career and influence of Marc VanArsdale. Marc was a player or coach in 11 National Championship seasons and coached 5 D1 National Players of the Year. He is simply one of the most respected men in this field.

On this beautiful April morning, it is a shame that some college lacrosse programs will be collecting equipment rather than preparing for an important game…esp considering the criticism that coaches often face for scheduling games in Jan/Feb. The ACC BB tourney starts on 5/20.

The final broadcast of the Richmond Lacrosse season today. One of the college coaches wouldn’t talk to me before their game because he “didn’t want his players distracted by the comments of the media types”…. geez, I have crossed over to the dark side, I’m a “media type”!!

Lars is good with a chainsaw and helped me fell a couple of trees in the yard this morning…good prep for the Hoos game with an improved Lafayette team tomorrow at 1:00pm and/or, if you can’t get out of the house…UMASS at Richmond noon on ESPNTV…tune in!

We left two inches of new snow in the Adirondacks this morning to find the backyard dogwood in bloom here in VA. Brown at Princeton tomorrow, UVA in a critical ACC match-up in South Bend and tune ESPNTV in at 4;00pm for a “coming on” High Point team versus the Richmond Spiders!

Members of Brown University’s 1985 undefeated Ivy League Championship Team in attendance this past weekend at the Brown/Cornell game.
