UPDATE: After medical evaluation, QB Justin Fields sustained a dislocated toe in his right foot and will be day-to-day. Fields avoided serious injury and significant missed time.
#NDSUSeasonOpenerCountdown: #37 (x3): A Fargo native, who was a soccer great in high school. Turned to football and as one of the most accurate kickers in Bison history, connecting on 87 extra point attempts and made 22 career field goals. Number 37, Jake Reinholz.

#NDSUSeasonOpenerCountdown: #37: The biggest kick in school history. Down 21-20 at Iowa with 5 seconds left, Cam Pedersen drills a 37-yard field goal as time expired to deliver NDSU its biggest win in school history, 23-21. Marked the sixth straight win over an FBS program.
