Here is deep dive on the methodology we developed for detecting cross-chain arbitrages in our recent paper. In this post, we detail our approach, which utilizes data from Allium, and discuss our findings while attempting to reimplement it using Dune. collective.flashbots.net/t/detecting-cr…
As trading migrates on-chain, cross-chain arbitrage is poised to become the next frontier of MEV⚡️ We study this mechanism with a profit-cost model to pinpoint when to hold vs bridge and a year-long measurement that reveals landscape, execution dynamics, and market structure🧵
As most of CT knows, Flashblocks launched on Base Mainnet 3 days ago. I wanted to share 2 quick learnings after helping build out this feature as one of the engineers:
BuilderNet is quietly paying over a $1m/month in refunds to users, and is nearing 1000 ETH in refunds overall Excited for those numbers to keep scaling
we just enabled flashblocks on our @base bundlers mean user operation inclusion time went from 2.35s -> 465ms that's an over 80% decrease, and we'll be optimizing it even more over the coming weeks if you want lightning-fast smart accounts and transactions, use @pimlicoHQ ❤️
I partnered with @Data_Always to provide our MEV perspective on the Glamsterdam upgrade. TLDR: While BALs are uncontroversially good for the EL, there is no standout candidate for the CL. Every option has clear pros & cons, some of which surprised us. collective.flashbots.net/t/an-mev-persp…

Contender is a tool for sending lots of Ethereum transactions — but did you know you can plug in custom logic too? We used it to build a cross-chain tester that sends messages between two chains. Here’s how it works: Normally, when you send a tx with Contender, that’s it. But…
Work on P2P protocols and will be at SBC? Hmu, cooking up a fun gathering 🧑🍳🌍📡
my favorite part of this is that you can see not just the subslot ordering, but also the shift in the full block. here for example, the transaction at index 122 here would have been ToB and skewed everyone else's execution.
checking out @base flashblocks with @chuxin_h ⚡️🧱 you can see each sub-block (flashblock) start within the block when the priority fee share (green) spikes up. this is the usual "top of block" behavior where people will pay up to get their tx in first.
Viem 2.33 introduces initial support for Flashblocks as a first-class citizen! Try it out in Viem or Wagmi by importing a chain that supports preconfirmations – starting with `basePreconf` + `baseSepoliaPreconf`. Then observe sub-200ms transaction confirmation times. 🫡

ZK doesn't help with ML inference (models too large to run inference in ZK), TEEs do though, also private shared state in MPC for private identity data, I recommend watching this video by @TACEO_IO: youtube.com/watch?v=HPDWav…
🚀 Contender v0.3.0 is out! Here’s what’s new in our Ethereum stress-testing toolkit:🧵
