A brilliant showcase of the very best of NI, world-class golf, stunning scenery, and a crowd full of passion and pride. Great to see all the competitors in action and the North Coast shining (well… raining, then shining, then raining again, I think the weather was playing too!)

My comments below regarding the Western Trust's decision to cancel the planned Consultation event on Tuesday 15th July in the Killyhevlin Hotel.

To everyone across Fermanagh and South Tyrone we wish you a safe and enjoyable Twelfth Holiday weekend. We hope all those on parade in Kesh, Augher and those folk travelling from South Tyrone to Coagh will have a joyous Twelfth of July parade.

Few politicians leave the positive legacy that David Trimble did, today I took the opportunity to raise the unveiling of his bust in the @HouseofCommons, can I thank @CommonsLeader @LucyMPowell for her kind words of recognition, and congratulations to everyone who was involved.

I was pleased to join party colleagues today in paying our respects and remembering all those who made a sacrifice by laying a poppy wreath at the Somme Memorial in the grounds of Stormont. 'At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them' @uuponline

This week I brought an Adjournment Motion to the Assembly on rural access to justice in Fermanagh, highlighting access to court services, closure of Enniskillen Custody Suite and costs of doing business in rural constituencies. Thanks to the @LawSociety_NI for their support.

🇺🇸 Great to join US Consul General James Applegate at his Belfast Residence last night to celebrate the 249th Anniversary of American Independence. A wonderful evening filled with celebration, meaningful conversations, and great company.

Pleased to meet with Ryan Black of the Mid Ulster Council District today to discuss investment and play park provision across Dungannon, specifically in Killymerron Park, Windmill Wood, Eastvale Avenue, and Coolhill.

It should be welcomed that there is a 9% drop in rural crime costs across Northern Ireland in 2024, but the job isn’t done. Ongoing cross-border criminal activity and it's underreported impacts on mental health in our farming communities is hitting some communities hard.

Today I hosted a multi-agency meeting with PSNI & Mid Ulster Council to address safety concerns at Dungannon Park. We focused on the need for CCTV provision and police visibility to help restore confidence. Pleased the Council has secured funding for more lighting across the Park

I had the opportunity to attend the Connecting Justice: Making Communities Safer for All event at Stormont, Very Insightful with where the focus was firmly on how a well-resourced and connected justice system can help deliver one of the Northern Ireland Executive’s top priorities

Pleased to meet with @unitetheunion & @GMB_union reps today at Stormont to discuss the future of Spirit AeroSystems in East Belfast. With thousands of jobs at risk, the UK Govt must act now to help secure a joint venture and protect this vital workforce. @uuponline
