Then there’s the air of looking at your problems and your perspective by scale. The dance between “I thought it would be better” & “it could be worse”. Operating at either of these extremes full time could warp any and every moment simply based on how you choose to see it.
“You’re so underrated” sounds so right the first time you hear it…like the greatest compliment someone can give you…but those same words, said in the same tone, with the exact same phrasing sound so wrong when you hear it for the millionth time.
You don’t want to complain because 10 years ago you prayed to be where you are, and to be able to do what you’re doing now…but your skill set improved, your hunger increased, you grew, and your aspirations grew with them.
There’s this weird dichotomy of appreciation & heaviness in being thankful about where you are yet feeling severely underrated at the same time.
