Glow Evangelist - come hang out, let's talk DePIN and Solar at https://discord.com/invite/vbdJKx2HXc
With just one solar farm, Glow has tripled its carbon credit production. $1.6 million in on-chain revenue, and a carbon impact equivalent of 60,000 adult trees. DePIN is here to stay, and it's here to change the world. Welcome, India
What DePIN rewarded you the most this year? Early @GlowFND deployments clearing 6 figs.

.@GlowFND just hired @vik_kalghatgi as Chief Scientist — formerly of @protocollabs' CryptoEconLab. It’s a powerful example of how talent retained and accelerated within the innovation network continues to drive faster progress and better outcomes.
Introducing @GlowFND's new Chief Scientist @vik_kalghatgi who was previously Research Scientist at Protocol Lab's industry leading CryptoEconLab Vik's welcome article explaining why he is so excited to join the team and what he is going to be focused on is in the next tweet 👇
After some amazing years at @protocollabs and @cryptoeconlab, I'm looking forward to the next chapter with @GlowFND. Wrote about the journey so far and what excites me about Glow 👇🌞
@DavidVorick's latest @GlowFND is clear expression of what @ecofrontiers frames "Ecocapitalism 2.0" ➡️strategic redirection of capital flows through programmable incentives & collective governance. It’s not about replacing capitalism, but re-encoding to serve ecology & humanity.
"The first iteration of Glow lacked the very humanity that it sought to imbue into Capitalism" - Glow: The Human Era, by David Vorick
Bitcoin's optimization function is to maximize the production of hashrate. Glow's optimization function is to maximize the amount of solar that it tips from slightly less profitable to slightly more profitable.
In many parts of the world, coal is only *slightly* more profitable than solar. But a slight edge is all it takes to dominate the market - what Capitalist would make $10 when they could instead make $11? Glow tips the scales by adding just enough incentive to let solar win.

Capitalism is a psychopathic beast with no sense of right and wrong. The only thing it sees is money. This means that it's a beast that can be tamed. You can steer capitalism in any direction simply by making that direction the most profitable direction to go in.
On average, each medium sized coal power plant (~400 in the US) causes around 100 excess deaths in the population per year. If the US switched from coal to solar, it could save 40,000 lives per year.
If you offset lifetime emissions with trees, you need about 8500 acres of forest for every 1 MW produced by a modern, efficient coal power plant. To do the same with solar, you need about 500 acres of forest, and only 30 acres of panels and batteries. Solar is land efficient.
The Glow team put a lot of effort and careful consideration into the rebrand and website redesign. Here are some of the ideas that helped shape what Glow is and what it’s becoming. 🧵
The new Glow is here – our redesigned website is now live with a fresh look and updated branding. Explore the new site and tell us what you think! glow.org
LFGlow Community is pumped to see @GlowFND new brand identity and new website go live today. Immediately it is clear Glow just took a giant step forwards and below are some of major elements which stood out to us:
