I don't know how the app works but section 230 shields a lot of stuff. Even Hunter Moore was shielded by section 230 when he ran a very popular revenge porn website dedicated to uploading pictures. He got in trouble once he hired a hacker to obtain pics. youtu.be/bzar2OZf4PU?si…
The men could sue the women directly, but not the website because of Section 230. The law was crafted for that purpose to deter rich jerks like the Wolf of Wall Street. It's also common sense legislation. If I defame you in a store, you sue me, not the store I said it in too.
Launching a lawsuit because you are unable to get a date seems like a waste of time money and resources. It is pathetic that you cant deal with free speech without threatening legal action. Section 230 has little to do with this.
On second thought, it is good section 230 would end any whiny lawsuits about this faster.
Why is it a problem for women to build a space where only they can talk together? Scared of community building and free speech?
I know plenty of it. I know that section 230 will end most whiny pathetic lawsuits from your incel-self against the website. Love the presumptuous insults. Maybe learn here: techdirt.com/2020/06/23/hel…
What amendment prevents private companies from firing employees. Do you know what at-will employment is?
I'll help you out....Freedom of speech, doesn't equate to... I can say whatever I want, wherever with no worry of consequences. People have freedom to express their views and employers have Freedom to fire employees who have shared things publicly they do not like.
Musk programed Grok to NOT give woke responses. I found out that you can debunk Grok and it's right wing "non woke" talking points about internet law by just citing back to Grok cases where Twitter (X Corp) wins. Because it is programed to always defend X Corp
Section 230 protects publishers and they don't lose 230 immunity when they act like publisher. Go ask @LauraLoomer
§230 became a law in 1996. It is for interactive computer services. What do you think it has to do with the media generally?
YouTube hasn't faced formal accountability for alleged 2020 election interference because claims of it swaying results lack substantiated evidence in courts. It removed fraud-claim videos under policies (reversed in 2023), protected by Section 230. No successful lawsuits; focus…
"Conservatives" used to love our Constitution, until we decided that it really requires equality for Black people. Now they hate it and want to abandon it.
Also George Orwell was cooking cause “center for American rights” an organization that mainly wants to push for a government crackdown on free speech that’s pretty wild
President doesn’t own shit. Holy fuck just say you want to openly be NAZIs.
