Fewer quangos, stronger powers. Today we set out our plans for a shakeup of the standards landscape with a new Ethics and Integrity Commission and new powers of enforcement. theguardian.com/politics/2025/…
Today I held another of my local community townhall events-‘Tea with your MP’-this time in Mill Hill, to hear from residents and to discuss concrete actions we can take to address your priorities. It was an incredibly productive conversation and I’m grateful to everyone who…

Finished a busy day with a street surgery on Field Mead in Grahame Park in Colindale, listening to residents’ concerns. Issues raised including speeding and traffic, schools, antisocial behaviour and step free access at Mill Hill Broadway Station.

One of the great joys of my role is to get to support the excellent local businesses that make such a difference to our area. It was a honour to re-open the Brookfield Estate post office on Salcombe Gardens in Mill Hill East today. It will bring valuable services back to the…

Delighted to see Edgware Primary School benefit from the Mayor of London's Greener Schools Fund. By becoming energy efficient & saving on bills, schools can spend on what really matters - helping young Londoners get the best education possible.
NEW: An extra 10 schools will benefit from lower energy bills thanks to new funding from GB Energy to expand @MayorofLondon’s Greener Schools initiative. That brings the total to 48 London schools saving up to £15,000 a year on their energy bills ⚡️☀️

I want our community to look its best. That’s why I’ve been lobbying BT to remove derelict phone boxes and the Council to install better bins around Edgware. And that’s why I spent this morning leading a litter pick around Station Road in Edgware. In the coming months, I’ll be…

Busy day! Spent the morning knocking on doors and talking to residents in Beaufort Park in Colindale before visiting the summer festival at Colindale Gardens and then heading on to hold a surgery in Burnt Oak.

A very street surgery meeting with residents in West Hendon to listen to their concerns and help with their problems. Issues raised included HMOs, crime and antisocial behaviour, parking and enforcement.

Great to visit the Lime Street Festival to meet with students from Hendon School and Saracens High School in Colindale who have been interning this week at insurance companies in the City. I’m keen to do all I can to open up opportunity and good jobs to young people from across…

It was great to welcome students from across Barnet who are involved in the MySayMatters programme to Parliament last week and answer their excellent-and sometimes challenging!- questions. It was really inspiring to meet such impressive future leaders

Great to drop in on the Friends of Heybourne Park at the weekend as they did a spot of community gardening. Thank you for all your work to improve our area
