.@mcfrs members of Fire Station 25(Aspen Hill) surprised a younger community member in the 3300blk of Niles St for their 3rd birthday. Members were able to show support for young Eli and the block party occurring before leaving on an emergency call. Happy birthday, Eli! @mcfrsPIO

.@mcfrs dispatched at 720am for vehicle rollover w/entrapment. Crews located a Rav4 hit a parked car and rolled over with 1 trapped. 1 adult driver extricated and declined EMS care. Crews leaving shortly. @mcfrsPIO

.@mcfrs dispatched at 658am for a collision with 1 trapped- Colesville Rd/University Blvd E(Silver Spring). Crews from FS16 arrived to find 2 car collision, extricated 1 adult F while other adult driver declined EMS care. 1 adult transported w/non-life threatening injuries.

Update~@mcfrs dispatched at 914pm for vehicle in floodwater with 1 trapped. Swift water crews assisted 1 adult onto dry land with no injuries. MCPD assisting in road closure of intersection until water recedes. @mcfrsPIO

.@mcfrs is dispatched to Beach Dr/Cedar Ln(Kensington) for a vehicle into floodwater with someone in the vehicle. @mcfrs swift water boats and other apparatus/personnel are enroute. @mcfrsPIO

. @mcfrs is dispatched to Cedar Ave/Philadelphia Ave(Takoma Park) for vehicle into floodwater with driver on top of vehicle. Crews has removed driver and is being evaluated by EMS. Crews stated sewer drainage backed up and not allowing water to drain. @mcfrsPIO

.@mcfrs Fire Station 40(Sandy Spring) spent some time supporting the local Sherwood High School football team during their fundraiser event today. Crews gave a donation after they all washed the truck. @mcfrsPIO

Swim with a buddy! @mcfrs Fire Station 7(Chevy Chase) spent time at Chevy Chase Rec Association/8920 Spring Valley Rd, teaching kids the importance of learning to swim and always swimming with a buddy. As a reward, they spent time in the fire truck. @mcfrsPIO

Practice makes perfect. @mcfrs members of Fire Station 19(Silver Spring) spent some time today training on advancing hose down a corridor and drafting water from a static water source when hydrants are not available. @mcfrsPIO

Congratulations to Battalion Chief John Eric Ramacciotti on his completed 36yrs of service in @mcfrs. He was hired in 8/1989 and has been assigned to many stations and specialties in the Department. Congrats Eric. @mcfrsPIO

.@mcfrs is dispatched to 4400 Montgomery Ave/OneLife Fitness for a building fire involving hazmat. Crews located some combustibles on fire and not involving hazmat. No injuries reported and cause of the fire under investigation. @mcfrsPIO

Finally! @mcfrs Recruit Class 56 is graduating tomorrow (Friday July 11) at Montgomery College-Rockville Campus. RC56 started with 36 new hires and ended with 28 employees after 26 hard weeks of training. Congrats! @mcfrsPIO

Get Out, Stay Out.@mcfrs members spent time this morning at White Oak Recreation Center/1700 April Ln(Silver Spring) and showed our younger residents the importance of working smoke alarms, how to use 911 and once you are outside-not to go back in when there is a fire. @mcfrsPIO
