Why have minorities faced so many threats in #Iran, #Turkey & big parts of Arab world? Why have so many #Christians been persecuted? Or #Kurds? Or #Baha'i? Or #Yazidis? Or #Assyrians? Or #Druze? Or Nonbelievers? I'd mention #Jews, but almost all--850,000--were driven out.
Not so long ago, tens of 1000s of #Jews lived in Syria. There are none now. Not so long ago, 1.5 million #Christians lived in Syria. Two-thirds are gone. ~700,000 #Druze live in Syria. They're the target today of hatred, intolerance, violence. Who'll speak up for the Druze?
