District 3 Supervisor representing San Francisco's incredible northeastern neighborhoods. Working for more 🏘️ + 🌳+ 🚍
Love to see this - eight (8!) new retail openings coming to the Embarcadero Center soon. A great sign of the increase in activity we're seeing downtown and the strength of amazing nearby neighborhoods. 📈☀️ sfgate.com/food/article/d…
We had a productive monthly Community Coffee at North Beach's iconic Caffe Trieste this morning. Appreciate all the ideas, questions, and engagement over great coffee ☕🙂

🇮🇹 An absolute honor to unveil a new plaque recognizing A.P. Gianni alongside Washington Square Park. A.P. Giannini shaped our city in countless ways and is yet another reminder of how Italian Americans have shaped San Francisco. Thank you SF Little Italy Honor Walk!

⬇️ This is why we worked so hard to keep the Solve SF app alive and ensure the city was partnering to support it! When people step up to support our city, we should have their backs.
37% of all 311 reports today were made with Solve SF. New record!
We're making it easier to open and run a small business in San Francisco! ✅ The Board and Mayor just teamed up to unanimously pass 7 pieces of legislation that will have concrete results in saving our small business owners money, time, and hassle.

Power is currently out in much of Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, and North Beach. Restoration is estimated to be 4pm.

Does cutting unnecessary red tape lead to anything? Yes - yes it does. @DannySauter and I pushed to eliminate barriers to formula retail on Van Ness and slowly but surely we are seeing movement. sfist.com/2025/07/09/for…
Thank you Captain Kim! After 2 years at Central Station, I have mixed emotions in sharing that Ja Han Eric Kim has been promoted to Commander of Metro Division. Thank you, Commander Kim, for your dedication to District 3 and your tireless work to make our neighborhoods safer.

Today's hearing about the implosion of the Parks Alliance was deeply troubling. We saw widespread patterns of negligence, failure of basic oversight, and nearly 100 community orgs left as victims. We learned that at least $5.4 million is likely still owed to volunteer groups.
SF supervisors grilled former executives of the defunct nonprofit Parks Alliance during an investigatory hearing into allegations of financial misconduct. 📝: @ggreschler sfstandard.com/2025/07/17/san…
Al Pastor Papi is officially open in Union Square! 🌮🍍 Go by ASAP for delicious tacos ‼️ Thanks to Vacant to Vibrant and @SFNewDeal for your hard work to make this opening possible.

The Central Subway is showing promise as the past 2 months of consecutive record ridership shows. But it's time to get serious about speeding up the current line and creating a plan to extend it to North Beach and Fisherman's Wharf. 🚇 I've called a hearing to do just that ⤵️

⤵️ Introducing District 3 Thrives, our small business legislation that will fill empty storefronts from Russian Hill to Union Square. A set of District 3 specific changes that maintain what makes our neighborhoods unique while making it easier to open and grow small businesses.
Legislation from Supervisor Danny Sauter would make it easier to open larger bars, restaurants and retail storefront mergers in these San Francisco neighborhoods. bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/n…
6 months in, I'm confident that we're making real strides in San Francisco's comeback thanks to leadership from @DanielLurie and a new spirit of collaboration with our Board of Supervisors. We've got miles to go, and I'm excited for all the progress and improvements to come.
Today marks six months since I took office as Mayor of San Francisco. We still have a lot of work to do—but we’re showing what a new era of collaboration and action looks like. Since our 100-Day mark in April, we have passed a budget that closes an $800 million deficit and…
Our Van Ness Ave legislation - led by @scsherrill - reformed permitting to fill vacancies along this major corridor. It's already working! 🍿 A new movie theater, Apple Cinemas, will move through permitting in a matter of weeks instead of what used to be a 6-8 month process!
When Bamboo on Polk came to us, their street lights had been out for more than 6 months! ❌ We can't let "little" things like this drag on, as they have a big impact on the safety and environment of our neighborhoods. Happy to have gotten this fixed right away 💡

We've got to keep removing barriers to housing, including shared housing and co-living. Thanks for introducing the Shared Housing Reform Act @bilalmahmood - happy to join as a co-sponsor 🏘️
Due to laws written in the 1970s, it's illegal for more than 5 people if they're not related by blood to live together in San Francisco. Yes, you read that right. To fix this, I am introducing the Shared Housing Reform Act this week.
A beautiful day for Pride! This is always one of my favorite days, seeing our city come out and show up loud and proud. We flooded Market Street with joy, unity, and community and plenty of protest and resistance, too. 🏳️🌈 Happy Pride, San Francisco! 🏳️🌈

🌳🪻 As we wrap up this first phase of North Beach Green, I'm excited to share some early impact: 🌲 33 new trees planted! 🌻 22 new sidewalk gardens planted! ♻️ 1,143 square feet of concrete removed Sprucing the neighborhood up, block by block. Thanks to all our partners!
