I like Lee's characteristic ballsiness. He's a brave man in this day and age of growing speech censorship. Not least for using the once widely understood figurative common phrase of 'heads must roll' in an era where the threshold for incitement charges is so low and everything…
There is absolutely NOTHING that @EssexPoliceUK can say that will justify escorting *in* masked-up, far-left agitators to deliberately start trouble with the locals at the Bell Hotel in Epping. They then tried to cover it up. Completely banged to rights. Heads MUST ROLL!
The exercise of market choice is one of the few freedoms we still basically have intact. Use it.
If you continue to supply a LOO ROLL for example to the Britannia Hotel Chain or any Migrant Hotel with any product or service. Towels, laundry, internet service, you name it. Please, don’t be surprised if your company or staff get boycotted and sanctioned. People are…
The other big thing about June I didn't include is that she isn't a fair weather friend of Reform like some other commentators. When Reform was going through a real storm in early to mid March over the Rupert Lowe saga she was a voice of reason and defiance who took a lot of…
I'll be honest. When I first came across @juneslater17 as a commentator I didn't quite get all the fuss was about. 'She's making good points and is disarmingly down to earth and plain spoken, fine, but what was the X factor?' I thought. The more clips I've seen and the more posts…
Oh dear, I'm not conducive to the public good. I might suggest that pretending everything is fine is far more dangerous to the public good.
Great, so @bbc5live are platforming that chap Gawain Towler, of UKIP, Reform fame to discuss concerns about further riots in UK this summer. He’s been on many times and his points aren’t always conducive to the public good.
Agree - we love June!!! 🩵

Exactly this. She is very poised as a communicator and holds the audience attention span by making things straight forward and digestible. But she doesn't dumb down ever.
I agree. She breaks down issues into bite sizes and puts them into a simple language, understandable by many, and injects common sense. Love her humour too ☺️

Your Reform Council Cabinet had a Zoom call with June Slater. 🥰
He bloody will as well. 😑
Can anyone spare a thought for the illegal migrants now being housed in luxury £500 a night accomodation in Canary Wharf? Their £50 pocket money won't go far. Will Starmer consider giving them an extra 'London weighting' to boost their spends?
The growing proclivity of mind maps in the corporate world and politics are a reflection of the unserious and muddled minds leading us. Sound leaders don't need to do these self validation exercises. They know what they're about and get on with things.
From the New Statesman’s profile of Kemi this morning:
Desperation is never a good look.
Former Conservative cabinet minister Penny Mordaunt tells BBC Newsnight: "I'm desperate to get back into Parliament."
Did 'quiet bat people' feature by any chance?
From the New Statesman’s profile of Kemi this morning:
Those of us who opposed lockdowns from an early stage knew this would be a corollary. When the bonds of habitual human interaction are so psychologically disrupted, it is hard to revive them. I loathed lockdowns but would definitely say I also socialise far less in person now…
The long tail of the pandemic and the move to social media was another factor people talked about in eroding their sense of community and wellbeing, with people telling us both their work and social lives hadn't returned to normal since covid.
Increasingly it is the upper middle class who are the only people with the disposable income and time to properly socialise. The pub - once the Parliament of everyday people - is now too expensive for many to regularly visit.
We found a real risk that social cohesion becomes the preserve of the wealthy/middle classes with lower income Brits much more likely to say they feel disconnected, have lower trust in neighbours and sometimes feel like a stranger than higher income ones.
As @Day89Linda points out, Nigel Farage was vilified for the Breaking Point poster during the referendum campaign. I wonder how many of those who criticised him at the time on the centre right would now acknowledge he was right. Farage possesses the kind of political antenna that…
DESTINATION: BRITAIN? Iran has deported HALF A MILLION Afghans since the 12-day war with Israel. Now begins their trek across Europe... With Afghans 22X more likely to be sex offenders v Brits, surely it's time to close our borders NOW to all illegals? gbnews.com/news/world/afg…
The Conservative Party will increasingly define itself not by what it stands for but who it stands against. They're arguably destined to become the new Lib Dems - a regionally clustered protest party in a few leafy areas.
They have decided to do exactly what I wanted them to do- chase the libdem vote as well as the reform vote meaning they will appeal to no one and be exposed as the shape shifting fraudsters that many had already suspected them to be.
Zinger from Nigel Farage on James Cleverly's return and the Shadow Cabinet reshuffle: "It's ridiculous really. He's called Cleverly and he represents Braintree and I'm not sure either really works... No James is absolutely charming... absolutely charming! He stands four square…
If only we had more of his ilk.
Doctor strikes going ahead. A poor decision. I have never striked for a single minute in my fifty plus year career in medicine, and I never will.
Rayner is trying to park her tanks on Reform's lawn and basically use the Cabinet minutes to less than subtly denounce Starmer and Reeves. It's pretty Yeltsin esque and she will only grow bolder.
Every week we get a read-out from Cabinet - the weekly meeting of the Government's most senior ministers. It's sent round to journalists by No10. And to be honest, normally, it's pretty boring. But this week - it acknowledged something really quite important. A year on for the…
