My ringside credential in my #boxing collection from when @amirkingkhan dominated Zab Judah & KO'd him with a body shot in rd 5 of an HBO main event at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas to unify the WBA & IBF 140 titles -- 14 years ago today.
Fighters are eligible to be on the ballot 3 years after their last fight (2022 for this ballot). Don't have to announce a retirement just have to have not had a fight to be eligible. That doesn't mean you'll be on.

Nonsense. TR put on many outstanding matches during its ESPN deal but the network did not do its part in terms of promotion and marketing. Basically made a lot of promises and ignored the product.

No more #boxing on ESPN, Fox, Showtime, HBO, ABC, CBS, NBC, FS1, USA, none of the Spanish-language nets, etc. All were heavily invested at one time or another. Now none are because powers that be served up too much crap & didn’t provide outlets with value for their millions.
The last Top Rank event of its ESPN contract airs Saturday. After that there’ll be no regularly scheduled #boxing on linear TV in the U.S. for the 1st time essentially since the early 1940s when TV became widely accessible. Shame on the stewards of the sport who let it happen.
