What percent of elite athletes globally, in any sport, do you think USE performance enhancing drugs? Talking in the spirit of the law, as there's no way Enforcement can keep up with the chemicals and methods (athletes can test clean, but still be doping).
there really is value in being a substitute - not all coaches that say this to their players/families are saying it to reduce disappointment subs: watch the game, pay attention, analyze, talk to teammates about the play, and be ready to go in
Also EPL refs, like Michael Oliver, get imported to the UAE to ref matches. UEFA refs move around the continent to do CL matches. There is precedent. This is a joke.
Worthless English refs. EPL has owners, front office, players, managers from all over the world and we have to settle for these same mediocre officials.
Anyone have pass maps for USWNT in the Olympics? I want to check an observation if it's real or perceived: Lindsey Horan connected very few passes to our forwards (relative to her role).
JD Vance wants to tax childless people more than ones with kids. His supporters cheered and loved this idea. He basically described the Child Tax Credit that congressional Republicans refused to renew.
It's been over 24 hours. Can Naeher continue to be our WNT GK? She doesn't really play well with her feet. Just a shot stopper. JK.
Latino players... what is the term to "play simple" (or equivalent) in spanish or portuguese? Is it ever used? During pickup, someone said "play simple" in English. I don't think I've ever heard a latino player say that (which is prob a good thing).
People are asking: why don't our best athletes play basketball?
Femke Bol. I don’t get where her “sprint” speed and power come from! It’s amazing, effortless. How she generates that much push off the earth without seeming to strain is beyond me.
How much of USWNT play is attributable to Hayes? If they had a dreadful tournament, it would be said she’s not had the time. The converse has to be also true. But if the US can play like this, why haven’t they done so in the past?
I love my black job 🖤
Simone Biles being the GOAT, winning Gold medals and dominating gymnastics is her black job.
Imagine watching this game and thinking about the actual gameplay leading up to this and NOT realizing he’s 100% spot on .
Hey US. Take a page from Japan around the box. Make some runs for your teammates. Prob too much to ask since we just learned the cutback cross from Emma Hayes. Baby steps.
if the US’s best female athletes played soccer we would easily beat Japan 😉
3v3 Women's basketball is struggling too. 0-3 in olympics. Has rest of world gotten better in that sport too?
After 3 games still don’t know what USWNT is. Def playing better but better attacking team might put them to the sword. Bit loose defensively. GER and AUS def not awful teams. Rodman needs to sit, and we need a pivot.
Team USA men's basketball is fine as is. BUT, WHAT IF they took the Celtics' '24 starters (assuming all were Americans) (these would be olympic starters and get lion's share of minutes), and filled the rest of the roster with best NBA players. Would an actual team perform better?
The standard the USWNT set for itself are gold medals (semis at least). Let’s wait to see if this honeymoon lasts a fortnight. I enjoy watching them play like this. But sweet opening goal followed by 2 lucky goals and a garbage time goal, isn’t convincing.
