Let's go over a few things. What does boost add to this genre's gameplay? Press button, go faster, make designing levels taking ages and look uglier due to budget/time constraints. Now let's imagine a world without boost. Oh god, it's too beautiful, I can't!
“Get rid of the boost” Is the DUMBEST take in the fandom. Especially after the phenomenal execution of Shadow Generations. Boost + Open Zone Formula >>> Classic formula , Adventure formula, etc. If we stick with that, a game of the year nomination is within reach.
Knocked out this "Wine Press Spring Thing" today. Was able to reuse some textures/particles but the model took around 2 hours. | #Godot #SonicTheHedgehog #gamedev

Alongside Sonic Team's work on Sonic X Shadow Generations, the team wanted to show the effects of deformation in character models with an internal motto "character expression never seen before." This was their test animation.
