After nearly 8 months of applying for jobs, interviewing, getting ghosted, & applying for more I have zero expectations & hopes left for whatever comes next. At this point it will be a miracle if I get an offer. 🏳️

There is never a dull moment when you work on a farm. Today’s head-scratcher, you ask? How in the ever living hell did a coon get stuck in the wall? Did a cat chase it in there? More importantly, how do I get it out before it dies in there & smells to high hell?

You know what really sucks? Being so broken that you have to rely on medication to do anything. What’s worse is when your body starts to tolerate the meds & suddenly you’re back to square one with zero spark for your passions. I miss writing, but my cup is empty. Again.

Why is it that I struggle to do anything during the day, but once nighttime hits- BAM! I want to do all the things. Being a productive night owl is not conducive to preferring to work mornings so that I don’t go into ADHD waiting mode every day. 😑

Oooh no. The back to school supplies is hitting stores already. Must resist. Don’t actually need. But sooo tempting. 😬

Tell me a secret about yourself as a writer… I’m one of the unicorns. 🦄 The 1st piece of writing I ever submitted for publication actually got published in a 🎃 anthology. To this day, I’m not proud of it. But it IS the same world my current WiP is from. Now spill your ☕️!

At this point in July it is probably safe to say that I will not be finishing this draft this month. Will I be adding another failure to my current tally? Probably. Am I mad at myself for that fact? Abso-fucking-lutely. 😐

I go silent for a weekend & I immediately drop ~10 followers. Typical. I was so close to breaking 900, too. 🫠 I’m still here, y’all. Just needed a mental health break.

Doing something completely new & completely overdue for my age for the first time this weekend. I’m equal parts relieved & anxious. I hope this goes well. 🤞🏻

Some days I love only being able to write as far as my headlights can see. It keeps things interesting. Other days, like today, I want to tear my hair out for this ADHD trait. I think I have officially hit Act 3 b/c I feel like Homer Simpson & his one brain cell right now.
