The avg fintech manages to land a banking partner for something (e.g account issuing) and just stays there. The process is arduous, so it’s understandable when more than 3 in 4 fintechs use only one bank. Req further introspection as the average fin-tech cares for redundancy
If the US is not actively blocking African-American bank ownership, I expect us to have one like this in the near future. More than a handful of african startups have raised over $35M, and can foot the capital requirement.
