The WNBA TV contract that was signed last summer is worth $200 million per year. Formula 1, a sport everyone puts on a pedestal, is HOPING to go for $180 million per year in their next contract. Guess which one gets talked about in a concern-troll tone about their business.
Took the NBA 40 years to turn a profit. The NFL wasn’t profitable until 41 years after its founding. MLS is 29 & counting without being profitable. 🤷🏻♀️
No other sports league lost money for 25 years. The players can and should strike if they feel that is in their best interest.

“We get a very tiny percentage of all the money that’s made through the WNBA, which obviously is made through the entertainment we provide. So we want a fair and reasonable percentage of that.” #RevenueSharing #WNBA #Solidarity thegrio.com/2025/07/20/wnb…
Funny how all that protect women’s sports energy goes right out the window when women ask for more of the revenue they generate.
Of course nobody has actually said that, but we will hear distortions of the truth all week about why the WNBA players wore those shirts. Great Discussion On The Collision “Where Sports And Politics Collide” youtu.be/nf89RBEpCAk #PayUsWhatYouOweUs #wnba #wnbaallstar
Before you start giving your hot takes about WNBA salaries, PLEASE learn the difference between profit and revenue for the love of GOD.
My god, WHO IS KILLING THEM??
In recent weeks hundreds of Palestinians have been killed while waiting for food and aid trib.al/VUiFfe3
Adjusted for inflation, the NBA lost $48 million in 1981. That same year, Magic got a 3.5 Million per year contract (adjusted for inflation). There’s never been an issue with paying men. The people clowning the W are uneducated, red pilled losers who parrot talking points.
NBA players make 50% of the leagues revenue. WNBA players make about 9% of the leagues revenue. They are not asking for equal pay they are only asking for a larger share of the leagues revenue. Not a hard to grasp.
As @ariivory pointed out on @ESPNRadio last night, the WNBA players only get 9% of league revenue. FWIW, the players get 50% in NBA Between the talent level and growing visibility, that stat doesn’t sit right with me Go get that paper, ladies
I don’t understand the concept of getting angry at someone for asking for a pay rise FROM A COMPANY U DON’T EVEN OWN
it’s y’all thinking the NBA has been some profitable league all 79 years of its existence ………

The WNBA players are responsible for the league’s growth and increased popularity. It’s time they got the pay, dignity and respect they deserve. The labor movement stands with @TheWNBPA as they work towards a strong new contract!
"PAY THEM!" Fans letting the league know after the WNBA All-Star Game 🗣️

Immediately upon commissioner Cathy Englebert grabbing the mic, the fans break out into “Pay Them” chants with accompanying signs that read “pay the players.” #WNBAAllStar #Wnba
Much Respect WNBA 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾 #PayUsWhatYouOweUs #WNBAAllStar #WNBAAllStarWeekend #WNBA
Tonight was ultimately about organized labor and collective bargaining before ANYTHING.
