FM @larsloekke: ”Pleased to see DRC and Rwanda reaching a peace agreement. A positive sign of dialogue and a step towards further advancing peace, stability, and prosperity in the Great Lakes Region. Important to continue close coordination with the AU and regional actors.”

The agreement between the DRC and Rwanda marks an important step toward ending decades of conflict. I welcome US engagement that made this possible. For the deal to succeed, regional partners must be involved. The EU is ready to support both politically and economically.

This week @EUinUG joined @DCAUganda, @Africa_Mission, for a monitoring visit to the Increasing Opportunities for Youth Participation & Empowerment in Karamoja, Project. With support from @EUinUG & @DKinUganda, the Project is reaching 2,430 marginalized youth (1,336F | 1,094M).

Our Ambassador @JanSadek was delighted on behalf of #TeamEurope to host a flag off ceremony today honouring the 2025 🇺🇬 winners of #ErasmusPlus joint masters scholarships funded by the EU 🇪🇺. @Educ_SportsUg State Minister Hon. Dr. John C. Muyingo graced the event as Chief Guest.

Celebrating 12 outstanding 🇺🇬 students-8 women & 4 men, winners of the 2025 @EUErasmusPlus joint masters scholarships. Funded by the EU 🇪🇺 & in collaboration with @Educ_SportsUg, these scholars will pursue advanced degrees in top universities across 15 European countries. 🇪🇺🫶🇺🇬
