Lots of exciting news this May! One of our UW-research Assistants, now UW-Madison Alumni has been accepted into A Master’s Program at St. Bonaventure! We wish her the best of luck and can’t wait to see what she has accomplished!

Congratulations to lab alumni, Harlan Gunderson! They recently have been accepted to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Master's of Science in Psychological Science program, and will be starting classes there this fall!

Dr. Jordan, and Lab Manager, Sarah Ramsey, had a great time at the Society for Research in Child Development Conference! Sarah presented their first research talk, and afterwards, Dr. Jordan got a chance to catch up with some old friends from the Human Diversity Lab!


Congratulations to our graduating senior, Grace Vella! Grace worked in the DISC Lab for two semesters, and was instrumental to our project development! We wish her the best of luck in her future endeavors, and know her confidence and intelligence will take her to great places!

Two students from the DISC lab presented at the 2025 Undergraduate Research Symposium! Kal presented their research talk on group membership and shared preferences in children and Maria presented her poster on children's evaluations of Biracial identity disclosure. Great work!

🌟 Meet Kal Shary 🌟 Kal is a freshman from Spring Valley, WI, majoring in Psychology & Political Science! She joined the DISC Lab for hands-on experience in developmental psychology & social cognition. 🧠✨ Fun fact: Kal's high school class had only 20 people! 🎓



Meet Julia, a junior majoring in Psychology with certificates in Art Studio and Art History! 🎨 She's currently exploring the cognitive effects of chronic insomnia in older adults. 🧠💤 Julia hopes to take a gap year for more research before pursuing a master’s program!🎓
