Really enjoyed this by @mattbucher - a funny, melancholy novel about how time is captured by work, and what happens when we’re off the clock - if we ever can be. Gets to the atomised informational structure of our lives in a really interesting way

Answered a bunch of pre-op questions today that seemed contingent on having someone in the same living space, if not the same bed (“Ever been observed to stop breathing during sleep?” “Snoring ever heard through walls?”). I recognized the pathos w/o being particularly saddened
