CLINGY CATCH: Spiny, exotic devil’s thorn (Rumex spinosus) was discovered in a bag of rice from Iraq at #DetroitMetroAirport. This federal noxious weed gets around by clinging to passersby and causes problems by outcompeting native vegetation.

NO FLY ZONE: @CBP agriculture specialists intercepted fresh cherries infested with European cherry fruit fly at #DetroitMetroAirport, June 19. More 👉 go.dhs.gov/i4t

🚨ARREST🚨 An inbound commercial truck driver was found to be in possession of child sexual exploitation material at the #BlueWaterBridge, June 29. The man--a citizen of India--was arrested by @CBP officers and turned over to St. Clair County Sheriff's Dept. for prosecution.

#CONTRABAND: Our #Detroit team seized 503lbs (228kgs) of #cocaine from a Canada-bound commercial vehicle, July 16. The driver—a Canadian citizen—was arrested and faces federal prosecution. Great work by the officers and @HSIDetroit agents involved! 🙌

We were honored to host U.S. Consul General Baxter Hunt and Chief of Political and Economic Affairs Kristen Stolt at the #BlueWaterBridge in #PortHuron yesterday. It was a great opportunity for both parties to gain firsthand insight and strengthen cross border collaboration.
