Circling back with an additional thought (we’re really back with the Giants dropping transactions in the middle of pickup/dinner): Dimukeje being on NFI is notable. He has $1M of his $1.17M base salary fully guaranteed. But those guarantees don’t apply for players on NFI. So they…
No surprise on Thomas since the Giants are being cautious as he returns from a significant injury. My understanding is he's on pace to be ready for the season, but I wouldn't expect to see him rushed off the PUP list and into practice early in camp. Gray missed the final open…

“All day long, we looked more prepared. We looked better conditioned.” Those words should be ringing in Brian Daboll's ears as he prepares his team for his fourth season. The Giants can't afford another slow start, and avoiding that begins today: nytimes.com/athletic/65100…
On the positive front, no PUP for these players who missed time in the spring: RB Cam Skattebo, WR Malik Nabers, WR Jalin Hyatt, DL Darius Alexander and LB Bobby Okereke.

Giants LT Andrew Thomas and RB Eric Gray placed on PUP list as training camp officially kicks off tomorrow.
Joe Schoen showed that he's learning on the job. He clearly figured I can't criticize his offseason moves if they mirror my plan! Reviewing my 10-step plan and how it compares to Schoen's actions this offseason: nytimes.com/athletic/65078…
Not a surprise based on the state of the safety depth. Wallace got a tryout with the Giants during minicamp in June. He started seven games for the Titans in 2023 when Shane Bowen was Tennessee's DC
Source: Free agent safety K’Von Wallace is signing with the #Giants.
The player Report Cards are the best thing the NFLPA has done in years. The Jets locker room got a D+ last year. The Giants got a C- and are also overdue for a locker room upgrade
POV: you're flying through our new locker room inside look at the new digs 👀
I didn’t realize this until I started doing research for my “one thought” piece: If Dane Belton played six more defensive snaps during his rookie season then his salary would be $2.3M higher this year. Plenty more random nuggets here: nytimes.com/athletic/64727…

Great addition! Psyched to work with Ian

Checking in from vacation with one thought on every member of the Giants’ offense. Like doing this piece every year because it gets me thinking about the entire roster heading into camp: nytimes.com/athletic/64696…
Danny V is an absolute legend. I had the privilege of spending a lot of time with him early in my career. I learned more from him than he probably realizes. I don’t think I’ve ever been around a reporter more connected on his beat. Best to you in retirement @BostonHeraldHS!
Danny Ventura, the face of high school sports in New England for over the last 30 years, is retiring from the Boston Herald in August. Ventura started at the Herald in 1991 and has since served as the go-to source for information for coaches, student-athletes, and ADs.
No. Dead money stays dead.
Is there any change to the giants 2025 cap space?
This makes sense ... but Miami must have really wanted Waller! If Miami told the Giants the deal was off without the 2027 seventh, hard to imagine the Giants walking away from the 2026 sixth
Probably would get the 7th if Waller doesn’t make the roster or something I’d imagine
Uhh, what? Basically a free sixth-round pick for the Giants. Good thing they waited for him to retire instead of cutting him last offseason. Maybe my brain is just stuck in offseason mode, but I can't understand how the pick Miami *gets* would be conditional. Hard to see this…
The #Giants get a 2026 sixth-round pick from Miami for Darren Waller and a conditinal 2027 seventh-rounder, per source. Essentially a free pick for New York for a player who was retired, and a low-risk flier for Miami on a player who at his peak was one of the NFL’s best.
Here's my stab at a 53-man roster projection based on everything I saw this spring and what I expect to happen this summer: nytimes.com/athletic/64566…
