Great work by five volunteers yesterday, continuing the clearance of the cycling/walking path alongside A538 which @CECHighways has not been able to maintain for a number of years. We’ve restored the path to its original width and trimmed back some small branches. Work ongoing!

Our next open meeting is tomorrow, 16th July, from 7.30pm at Unico Lounge on Grove Street, Wilmslow. All are welcome to come along discuss cycling issues in the local area. It’s also an opportunity to reflect on the life of our highly-valued friend & member Chris Hilliard.

Today, @cyclewilmslow was honoured to be present to share in the celebration of the life of our committee member Chris Hilliard. In the services at Macclesfield Crematorium & St Bart’s, Wilmslow, we learned so much about the brilliant, unique and caring person that Chris was.

A celebration of Chris Hilliard's life will be on Tuesday 15th July at 1pm at Wilmslow Parish Church (St Bartholomew's). All are welcome. Mourning dress optional. Come as your authentic self to celebrate Chris's life with us in full technicolour.

Recent newspaper item featuring some CycleWilmslow members in the photo! Well done to Paddy for pushing for this.

In the absence of @CECHighways deeming it a priority, local volunteers have carried out further clearance work on the shared use path alongside A538, south of airport tunnels. Years of maintenance neglect addressed by the community ✊
Last Wednesday, a small band of volunteers continued our work in clearing vegetation on the A538 shared-use path, south of the airport tunnels (a @Sustrans NCN route). Drop us a line if you'd like to join us in tackling the path north of the tunnels! @WalkRideGM @TransitionWilms
