Cubs babe. Cubs. Account ran by @TylerSmith_ISL
I’ll say it again… If you have negative tweets about PCA… I would delete them before it’s too late.
Jed’s first contract: right before the sale. Jed’s new contract: right before the purchase?
Step one complete.. just a little later.
Extend Jed during the All-Star Break. Make 2-3 trades shortly after. (Or one before) Extend Tucker late July/early August.
This is obviously a massive series. But I’m sure both fan bases will treat it like the division championship. Tons of baseball left after these 3 days.
The main reason I want MacKenzie Gore is to see all those “he’s 4-10!!” posts that follow lol
I didn’t put Gore on here initially because I didn’t think he was available. But… if he is… it’s an easy ✅
Would you trade Owen Caissie for… Joe Ryan- ✅ Kris Bubic- ✅ Seth Lugo- 👎🏻 Sandy Alcantara- 👎🏻 Felix Bautista- 🤷🏻 Eugenio Suarez- 👎🏻 Chris Sale- ✅ Zac Gallen- 👎🏻 Keller/Bednar- 🤷🏻
He’s due for one of his random great outings. Please?

Matt Shaw since the break: 9-game hitting streak. 12-for-26 4 homers 2 doubles I was told he’d never hit in the bigs. I was told PCA would never hit in the bigs. I was also told Horton should be a reliever.
5 good innings from Brown so far. Be ready to make a quick switch if it goes off the tiniest of rails.

The Cubs are starting RHP Ben Brown on Sunday against the White Sox
Best record in the NL.. but only one game ahead of 5th. Let’s get wild.
I need a film crew to follow multiple MLB front offices the entire week of the Trade Deadline. That doc would go crazy. I can’t imagine the calls, texts, and conversations Jed Hoyer is having leading up to next Thursday.
Dylan Cease would be a beast as a Cub.. a very good fit with this rotation. But…. he’s a Boras guy and in the final year of his deal. So… no thanks.
2027 Homerun Derby.. wind is howling in. Kyle Schwarber wins it with 6 home-runs 😆
Come on, bats. Leadoff runner on every inning but not much to show for it. Plenty of time left.
I wonder if the average fan knows the Cubs are currently in the playoffs by 7 1/2 games.
This inning has been brought to you by, National League old-school baseball.
I get this, for sure. Caissie is an obvious replacement for Tucker (or even Happ after next year). But he’s also their best trade chip for pitching. You could still have Happ/PCA/Suzuki in the OF next year. Also have Alcantara, Conrad, free agency, etc. for future OF.
You do not trade Caissie unless Tucker signs an extension.
