The field season in Dominican Republic is off to a busy start! The team has been attaching satellite transmitters to head-start crocs and wild crocs from the same cohort. They have also been pumping stomachs for diet analysis.

We’re excited to welcome Théo Bousseau, a master’s student from France, to the Crocodile Research Coalition! Théo is diving into an important project that explores crocodile hybridization, using a combination of skull morphology, genetic data,& body measurements from live crocs


Two weeks ago, CRC and the Belize Audubon Society teamed up to conduct several eyeshine surveys at Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary. Over the course of 2 nights we observed a total of 156 crocodiles representing all life stages.
