Most laypersons naively think that ED/hospital crowding occurs because a lot of people go there. The reality is crowding occurs when people can’t leave. The massive Medicaid cuts in the “BBB” will force ~1/4 of nursing homes to close, making hospital & ED crowding MUCH worse.
