My third great-grandpa, John Bonham Kester Jr., came to California in 1866. His trail west ran from Indiana, Iowa, down to Texas, finally to the California. He settled as a rancher in Morro Bay, where he lived out his days, died in 1921, age of 91. His father was a Kentuckian.
