I got fit tested with a portacount recently and failed in a new aura 1870 but passed in a new aura 9210. Really goes to show the difference in strap tightness and how much that matters! I’ve also had 1870/9205s straps break on me before.

PSA: in the K9 mask with a pm2.5 filter and readimask my dog scored a 2.1 fit test on a portacount aka ~50% protection. So not great but not nothing! If anyone has any other suggestions for dog respirators let me know :)

I’m in the waiting room at Mt. Sinai’s Post-Covid Center, Cardiology department, and only one patient out of 8 is wearing a mask—a baggy blue. Of course the staff isn’t masked. I’m the only one wearing a real mask. Am I missing something? We’re all here because of covid.
