WILL the Guardians trade Shane Bieber by the deadline?
If the Guardians were to trade one star by the deadline, which one of these two would you choose?
Who is the clubhouse leader for most disappointing Guardian of 2025 so far (has fallen the most short of reasonable expecations), non-injury/gambling category:
All this tracks. Moore missed four strikes from Clase before he grooved the India home run pitch. Gotta be good enough that an umpire can't doom your chances, but man, Moore is bad. Bring on FULL ABS. I have seen enough of these old men trying to see 100 mph pitches

Still shaking my head that in the three game series in KC, the Guardians gave 13 PA to Santana and 7 to Kyle Manzardo.

People also need to understand even if the Guards earn a WC spot, this team isn't built to win the World Series. This recent hot streak was fun, but doesnt reflect how the majority of the season has gone. Call up the young guys and see what trades make sense going forward.
It's a bad baseball team. That's all it is. Time to do everything needed to go for it in 2026. The path for the deadline is clear.
In 2024 I expressed doubt that our early performance was sustainable Quincy consistently told me I was wrong and was too pessimistic He and I are now aligned that FO needs needs to make some serious moves now and during off season
It's just simply not the same team. We have 106 games to look at. They are TWENTY wRC+ under where they were at this time last year They need to add at LEAST two middle-of-the-order hitters at the deadline to compete. I see maybe two available and neither likely to end up here
EXACTLY! And yet, large swaths of the fandom seems to either agree or disagree based on not just game-by-game results, but friggin' individual ABs. This is still largely the same team that made the ALCS last year! They probably won't make the playoffs, but it IS still doable!
In this house, we respect Cayleigh's work.
Was trying to give perspective to the fans as to what the players are dealing with today. Gavin spoke about how he couldn’t grip the ball yesterday, and Vogt spoke to the heat multiple times. Sorry you didn’t take it that way!
This is Quincy. I am an optimist to a fault You are what your run differential says you are by 81 games. I'm fine if they want to pursue the WC3, but this team isn't good and they'd be better served to recognize that and focus on 2026
Is this what we're doing really? Every time we lose a series? We're 7-8 games back of the division with 50-60 games still to go, 3 games back of a wildcard spot, and you want us to punt the next couple of months?

Yeah... yeah...
@CovertheCorner the TV broadcast just had the balls to talk about how David Fry isn’t in playing form or health to play everyday but that the club wants him to build up in the majors. Apparently that’s ok for a DH only but not for your top RF prospect.
The shame of it is that they couldn't just let us have the good memories of Carlos Santana in 2019-2020 and call it a day.
What has changed about this is I can now say "It is you AND it is us, Carlos" Guardians Made a Mistake Signing Carlos Santana coveringthecorner.com/2025/6/16/2445… via @CovertheCorner
Not sure there’s many more shortstops in baseball getting Bobby Witt on this play.
No Festa. I am shocked.
Hope everyone is ready for a heavy dose of Matt Festa tonight (whom I don't dislike, but still)
Also... it's probably a case where I should just stop being a pansy about it. It is cool for your relievers to go out there twice in a day and help their guys in a big game to win Let's just not make a regular habit of it. For the sake of their arms
I'm not sure it is best for their health, but props for Gaddis and Clase going out there and getting it done tonight. Also, Enright was a champ
